RRLEAGUES LEAGUE RULES
A. General Participation
1. All items covered in the rules are subject to RRLeagues staff discretion where necessary.
2. The rules covered here are general and apply to all leagues.
3. Admin reserve the right to amend these rules should it be necessary as the league(s) evolve. Any rule changes will be brought to the communities attention immediately.
4. To participate in league races, your in-game name must be either your real name, or an appropriate alias.
5. Before being allowed to compete in league events a new driver MUST complete a test session with an administrator or staff member. This is to ensure a stable connection is present and that the driver is able to drive safely with others.
6. Discord is in use as voice communication for the league and this includes the driver’s briefing. Drivers are expected to be present on Discord for the briefing.
B. Server Regulations
1. Servers are set to 'Ameteur' or 'Get Real' depending on the event.
2. In game chat is not permitted in Qualifying or after the lights appear in Race sessions. 1 warning will be followed by a penalty.
3. Races are only restarted in the case of a large first lap accident (involving a massive number of starters), blocked track, or mass disconnection (see below).
4. In the event of a mass disconnection the race may be restarted or a result declared; this is at admin discretion. Races may be rescheduled if necessary. If a race is over 75% complete, the result will be declared based on the available log data from the server.
C. Stewarding
1. Each race is reviewed by the stewarding team and findings will be posted in the steward channel at least 48 hours prior to the next race. It is up to drivers to make sure they check the steward channel before each round.
2. The entire first lap of a race will be reviewed automatically by the stewards.
3. Any further incidents must be submitted to a steward/referee within 24 hours of race completion. A screenshot of the timebar and/or a lap number & corner of incident must be included otherwise it cannot be reviewed.
4. Drivers are encouraged to 'sleep on it' before submitting their reports to stewards. Feelings often run high after a race and judgement can be cloudy.
5. Sportsmanship is highly encouraged; examples of unsporting driving WILL receive harsher penalties.
D. Driving Standards
1. Sportsmanship is a cornerstone of racing at RRLeagues and this is expected to be upheld by all participating drivers. If you pass someone unfairly or collide with them, it is expected that you return position.
2. Analogue input steering is advisory for safety reasons, although exceptions may be made if a driver can demonstrate the ability to drive smoothly on track with a digital input controller or keyboard.
3. Do not deliberately cut the track. The white (or yellow) lines mark the edge of the road. Do not cross them with more than two wheels.
4. Track cuts are monitored by the game where possible however additional cut rules may be enforced if necessary and will be covered before the race in question.
5. It is the responsibility of all involved drivers to contribute to safe driving when lapping and overtaking.
6. Deliberate blocking of another driver is not allowed.
7. In the event of an off, it is the responsibility of the driver in question to find a suitable and safe place to rejoin the racing line.
